Indoor Cricket Championship (ICC) is the first organization in Pakistan to introduce the player drafting system in indoor cricket history. Before ICC, this concept had never been implemented in any indoor cricket event across the country. Inspired by major cricket ball leagues, ICC brought the excitement and professionalism of real-life drafting to indoor cricket, giving players and franchise owners a unique and elevated experience. We modernize indoor cricket, make it more competitive, and create opportunities for every player to come in the pool and play indoor cricket.
How Did ICC Transform from an Idea into Reality?
Indoor Cricket Championship (ICC) began as a simple idea shared among four friends sitting together at a tea spot. Two of them expressed the desire to organize an indoor cricket tournament, while the other two wanted to create something unique, something that would stand out from every event held before. In that very moment, the vision shifted from a one-day tournament to a full league-format championship. We decided to introduce the player drafting system for the first time in indoor cricket history, something we had always dreamed of but had no idea how to execute. We built a core team of five dedicated people and began turning the idea into a real project. Throughout the process, we faced challenges: criticism, negativity, unnecessary pressure, and constant doubts from the indoor cricket community. At times, these obstacles made us question whether we should continue. But in the end, we chose to believe in our vision. We launched our social media platforms, started sharing our mission, and the Indoor Cricket Championship finally came to life.
What Happened After the Initiative of ICC?
After posting the first announcement of Indoor Cricket Championship (Season 1), we received an overwhelming response filled with excitement and positivity despite a few individuals still attempting to discourage our efforts. Our initiative to introduce player drafting in indoor cricket received exceptional appreciation from players, franchises, and the community. Within just a few days, several cricket-related social media influencers gave us 4-5 shoutouts, which boosted our visibility dramatically. Instagram views, hype, and engagement instantly skyrocketed. From the very first post until today, ICC has become one of the most popular and talked-about tournaments in indoor cricket. The total social media reach after 2 Seasons was approximately 2,000,000 views, a record-breaking achievement in Pakistan nearly touching the 2 million mark. We strongly believe that the upcoming season will easily surpass this milestone.
